1moreChild update

I wanted to use our blog to share some of the developments of 1moreChild.
We are in the process of re-building our structure. After being in Uganda for 4 months we realized a few important things:

• Education is important, but having food in your belly is crucial.


• Education is important, but having the support from home is crucial.


• Education is important, but having somebody to help you succeed is crucial.


• Being poor is difficult, but it doesn't mean you can't do something for somebody else!
  

These 4 discoveries have been the driving force behind the changes we are making to the Orphaned Children Sponsorship Program.

Over the next month we will give you updates on our progress, and give you ideas of how you can help.

Starting April 1st, we will change the sponsorship structure.
12 Euro (16 dollars) per month will give our kids:

• 1st class Ugandan education until grade 12 / Secondary School 4
• A food program that will help the family become self-sustainable.
• A mentor program in which the children learn to receive... AND GIVE
• An opportunity to help others in need
• Additional classes and training, for example in the field of farming and IT
• A network of supporters and encouragements from around the world.
  

As a child sponsor, you become an important part in the lives of 1moreChild children. by joining our online support network . Together with 12 other sponsors, you sponsor 12 children from 1 community. Together we will be able to learn from each other in new ways. Trough the internet we'll be able to keep you well informed on the process of your children.

You are not paying for our Ugandan Mentor-staff or other overhead costs. We will (and have) find corporate sponsors to help us cover these important costs. If you or your company is interested in this 'social' involvement, email me today.

If you are sponsoring a child right now for $7.50 per month, nothing will change. Your money will still be used for orphans education. We just realized we could do MUCH more, with a LITTLE more. If you want to change your subscription, just wait for the letter we'll be sending you soon.
